December Results are in . . .

For the month of December we made  228KWH of electricity.  That includes being down from Dec 6 -12.  That means we saved $35 off our electric bill this month and we had a lot of windy days.

  1. So since it started up midyear, how many KWH of power have you been able to generate in total to end of 2010?

  2. Based on your experience, would you get this turbine or an Xzeres 10 kW turbine?
Is Redriven helpful and fast when fixing their products?
Do they have a 10 year warranty like the Xzeres? How much did you pay for this unit?
Thanks in advance for answering any of my questions.

If you don't count August where we lost power, we've made 445KWH so far. About 1/2 of that just last month.

I've never heard of the Xzeres brand wind turbine so I can offer no help with that.

You might want to ask the yahoo group small-wind-home@yahoogroups.com if they can point you to anyone with a Xzeres wind turbine. I would think that is the best recommendation you could get.

Redriven has been good at fixing their product. What they are really missing is a manual so that the end user and the dealers can be more knowledgable in the product. I hear they might be close to publishing one soon.

To find out more about how much I paid, see the Frequently asked questions link at the top and center of the blog page.

  5. Ok, thanks. I think i'm going with the Xzeres. It's made in Oregon and they seem pretty reliable. Keep us posted on how reliably your turbine performs and power production of course!
